WILLIAM HOOKER is a retired physicist/engineer with over 40 years' experience in the high technology fields of aerospace and telecommunications electronics and systems analysis. Bill's interest in photography began in college darkrooms with 35mm and Speed Graphic 4x5 cameras, and has extended into modern day digital image manipulation, where he has been experimenting with the conversion of photographic images into artistic renditions on canvas substrates. Bill has worked with his large 3-dimensional computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining center for about 15 years, and took up display woodworking with a number of bonded hardwoods in the Fall of 2009. Bill’s wife of 38 years, Judi, has been active in various community and congregational activities throughout their years together. They have a daughter and family in Huntersville, and a son and family in San Francisco.
